About Kean Goue and the Website “Bridges Africa”

This Guest Post for Kean Goue is a combination of things learned from him and found on his website. A few years back, I helped him updating his LinkedIn profile and was impressed with what he said in his

“About Statement”

‘I am working on more disruptive ways as Social Entrepreneur to contribute to lives in the United States and Africa by promoting trade and cultural exchange. I thrive on seeing opportunities where others see stumbling blocks. My inner vision is to connect people and opportunities to allow values, principles, and cultures to blend for the betterment of humankind. By doing this, I believe in supporting all those who are DOING GOOD in the world. When you connect with Kean Goue’s website, Bridges Africa, I have been working together these last few months; I have been a contributing writer and editor for his nonprofit group’s new website, Bridges Africa. (bridgesafrica.org )”

Kean and I worked together a couple of years ago to create his website, which offers some insight into this post.

Kean lives in the Greater Salt Lake City area. He came with his family to settle in the United States from his home in the Ivory Coast and to further his education, gaining a degree in Sales and IT. Kean is a visionary, goal achiever, and natural networker who intends to keep learning to improve his potential. He likes to be called “ a farm boy” because of his extensive experience of growing up on his family farm, helping his parent with the hard work, and setting up the first cocoa and coffee co-op in his hometown, where he learned firsthand of the sufferings of those complex working families. At this point, he wants to pay back and show gratitude. His new home is now in the United States of America.

As founder and chairman of Bridges Africa, he is working to bring people, values, and opportunities to focus on adding his “stones to the building of help the cooperation between USA-Africa” and for this to happen more quickly, allowing both continents to benefit and leverage opportunities and change lives.

Kean states on his website:

“So who we are, maybe you are asking: We are a group of citizens of the United States of America & the continent of Africa, located on both sides of the earth, and we are headquartered in the Greater Salt Lake City, Utah area. We have experiences from both continents, having lived and worked there, and we are now bringing those experiences and talents to our partners to help collaboration between these continents.”

“Bringing societies together has never been an easy calling. After reflecting upon the possibilities to help people, organizations, and opportunities to come together, we decided to launch Bridges Africa, a United States of America Tax exemption -501(c)3 Non-Profit Corporation which is on a mission “to promote trade and cultural exchange between our US-based partners and our partners based on the Continent of Africa.”

Kean has been a good friend, and I have been blessed with the opportunity to help him.
