Using perspective to finding art and Inspiration in the neighborhood
Brent Jones
Inspiration can come from a book, a mentor, your family, a celebrity, an author - literally anyone! It can even come from inspiring signs and art in the neighborhood.
Electrical Power Switch Cabinets or power boxes are not intended to inspire, and they usually are just green, but the High School Art classes painted them, offering inspiration to us all.
Art influences neighborhoods and society by changing opinions, instilling values, and translating experiences across space and time. Art in this sense is communication; it allows people from different cultures and different times to communicate with each other via images, sounds, and stories. Art is often a vehicle for social change. It inspires us because it can provide us with imaginative links to parts of ourselves that might otherwise be inaccessible.
All severe art, has content under its surface and is nothing more or less than a reflective impression of the person who experiences it. The viewer of the art determines the true perspective.
