Can AI and Robots Run a Human Resource Department?

. RSS

“AI's integration into HR is undeniable. However, in the future, it will be unlikely that "HR robots" will replace human HR professionals. The real shift lies in reallocating administrative tasks toward AI, allowing HR professionals to focus on strategic, value-added activities. The quote came from a section labeled “Preparing for the Future” by author Markus Bernhardt in his article “Will AI Replace Human Resources? Embrace the AI-Driven Future without Losing the Humann in HR”.

According to an article by the HR platform “HiBob,” AI will not replace human resources but enhance them. AI can efficiently and effectively filter through resumes and applications so HR professionals can more quickly meet with candidates who most closely align with the company's objectives.

This raises the question of whether AI should be programmed to ensure that the company's objectives are met without ensuring that the employee is treated fairly.

When and how much will AI change our jobs →

The applications of artificial intelligence will impact critical facets of our economy and society soon starting immediately and before.

60 minutes presented a segment featuring where AI is at and what will happen next. In that segment Google CEO Sundar Pichai said “Every product of every company will be impacted by the quick development of AI, warning that society needs to prepare for technologies like the ones it’s already launched.”

It is obvious that we are at the beginning of what many credible experts view as the most promising era in technology innovation and value creation for the foreseeable future. This seems even clear when Sundar Pichai said that technology is just waiting for the rest of us to catch up and set some rules for how it will be used.

About Work in the Future →

January 25, 2023 Brent Jones
. RSS

Two significant trends are revolutionizing work environments, workforces, and the nature of work and shaping the future workplace.

The first trend involves the increasing integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and robotics in the workplace. Far from replacing human jobs, these technologies have made significant strides in automating tedious and repetitive tasks, empowering employees to focus on more complex and creative wor,k and heralding an optimistic future of work.

One of the pioneers of AI is John McCarthy, who is widely recognized as the father of Artificial Intelligence. He defined AI as "the science and engineering of creating intelligent machines brilliant computer programs. It is associated with using computers to comprehend human intelligence, but AI is not restricted to biologically observable techniques. "Incorporating AI and other technologies in the workplace has profoundly impacted how we work and the jobs available.

So, what will the future of work look like? While the answer to this question remains unknown, one thing is sure: change is inevitable and will continue to occur. This opens up a world of possibilities and necessitates a collaborative approach from employers and employees. This teamwork will help us to stay ahead of the curve and adapt to the evolving work landscape.

Several areas are poised for growth in the coming years regarding the types of work that will be demanded. One of the most significant is data science, which involves analyzing complex data sets to extract valuable insights and inform strategic decision-making. As companies gather more data than ever, the role of data scientists becomes increasingly crucial, as they are needed to help make sense of this information and turn it into actionable insights.

Another growth area is cybersecurity, as companies look to protect their valuable data from cyber threats and attacks. This involves developing and implementing robust security measures and staying up-to-date with industry trends and threats.

Finally, there is a growing demand for creative professionals, such as content creators, designers, and marketers, who can help companies develop compelling and engaging content that resonates with their target audience. As the competition for attention intensifies, companies must invest in creative talent to stand out from the crowd and capture their customers' attention.

It does seem clear that the future of work is still being determined. One thing is sure: it will be shaped by integrating advanced technologies, and there is a crucial need for a more collaborative and adaptive approach from employers and employees alike. By staying ahead of the curve and embracing new opportunities, we can ensure that the future of work is both exciting and rewarding.
